Surprisingly large quasi-micro-cum-cafe containing cakes, cask, coffee and kegs. Wood planking and mustard yellow interior. Dart board spotted. Four microbrew ales and neither of mine really inspired (both flat - some sort of stillage dispense, NBSSing at 2 and 2.5; over-vented or over-the-hill?) and their own keg brew of Where's Waimea I couldn't finish (NOTE – brewing suspended not long after I visited). Popular with the locals, a decent number in on a Saturday lunchtime mid-January. But I didn’t get much out of it, to be honest. GBG listed, so maybe I was just very unlucky…?
